Hello Creatives
Its challenge #125 @ Creative Artiste our
theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes.
Here's what I got up to, mixing up media in my journal.
Scraping gesso then modeling paste through a TH stencil I've
glazed with PaperArtsy Mattints giving a sheer subtle effect.
Collaging torn papers and old book pages on a 6x4 topper,
graphite is rubbed through a tree stencil and then with paste.
Glazing again with mattints I edged with machine stitch,
washi tape and tea stained paper doilies..
The Hare is a stamp by Hobby Art and has always been one
of my favourite stamp images so much so that I actually
have two sets of the March Hare.. 😊
Very sad to see this wonderful company close, without
the encouragement from Jenny Mayes (Owner) all those
years ago I never would have taken those brave steps
to even start a blog, Jenny made me believe
in myself, what a beautiful soul she is 💖
The stamped hare is coloured with alcohol markers, pencil
and paint given thread whiskers and bedecked with purple
and green lace, he's popping up from the woodlands edge
making his presence known .. so cute.
If you like to mix up your media come join us HERE
Wishing those that celebrate
*Easter Blessings*
Take care everyone

Fantastic journal page, Tracey
Thanks for playing
Much love
Oh I love your hare. It is perfect for the Easter weekend and for spring. And as always you have such lovely layering. Those little purple craft trim flowers certainly say spring. And I like how you mimiced the die cut tree with the tree on the paper. Overall, what a lovely piece. Thanks for joining GIllena at AJJ and also our Try It On Tuesday challenge. Have a great Easter weekend if you celebrate and a wonderful start to April too. hugs-Erika

Beautiful collage, sweet bunny.
I love this Hare it has real chardacter and have the stamp set myself. I had no idea that Hobby Art had closed that is so sad. I used to see her at the craft shows but I guess we all have to move on sometime. I absolutely love how you've used the hare too. Wishing you a very happy Easter xXx
Popped back to let you know I've got my laptop fixed and at a third of the price that Currys quoted me so I'm up and running again xXx
Oh Tracey! I love this rabbit. A little bit scary, a little bit cheeky, and a lot of knowing what she wants. The background is so clever and well put together. The purple flowers set everything off perfectly. I agree it's sad when a company has to close. Especially one with a wonderful owner. Have a lovely weekend.
Gorgeous page, Tracey. The textures are amazing, and I love all the layers you've added. The flower-adorned hare is most adorable. Happy creative April. Anita xx

Beautiful as always, you always add such lovely textures and that beautiful lace goes so well with the hare. Sadly we rarely see Hares in Cornwall and yes its sad that Hobby art is another stamp company to close
I adore your hare, Tracey. It is so well colored and shaded. You definitely have an eye for shading. I also like the sewing and the book pages you used for background. This is stunning.
I love how you have brought this March Hare to life, Tracey! And your collaged mixed media background is super! Hoping Spring's been treating y'all well. xoxo

Beautiful! Your coloring of the rabbit and the intricate assemblage you created are so inspirational. Happy AJJ!
She is a gorgeous hare - I love the softness round her mouth and your gorgeous colouring. Fabulous piece as always Tracey
It is such a joy to see your beautiful mixed media journal page, and that March Hare is absolutely darling popping out from the woodland edge. The way you layered the gesso and modeling paste with those sheer glazes creates such a wonderful, subtle texture that really draws the eye in. It is truly a lovely tribute to Jenny Mayes; it is amazing how one person's encouragement can spark a whole journey into blogging and art.
The addition of the thread whiskers and the lace is such a clever touch that brings so much personality to the piece. Thank you for sharing your creativity and for the sweet Easter blessings. It is always a treat to see how you mix different elements into something so cohesive and charming!
Thank you for your visit. I have wandered through your blog with awe, at your amazingly creative art in each creation. Something I could just look at, and not even know where to start. I have a wonderful memory of seeing 2 hares, we don't have them around here, so this hare brings something to me, he/she is so in charge, I think, the flowers are so very beautiful, the texture is incredible. The detail is awesome. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art. x
So beautiful. A handsome hare and the flowers are a wonderful finishing touch. How lovely that you credit Jenny with beginning your journey.
