Creative Artiste ~ #101 Anything Mixed Media Goes

Hello Creative Friends

Welcome to Creative Artiste first
mixed media challenge of 2024.

My DT project this February started with a stamped
Visible Image quote on a coffee stained linen scrap..

*When you feel like quitting think about why you started*

Stitched over and attached to a fabric panel I've glued, sewn
and stained recycled materials, papers and embellishments, lost in
the art of slow stitch and collage with Winter very much in mind.

The pincushion I made from a fabric gift bag, painted and layered
with lacy scraps, ribbon and repurposed buttons. It holds lovely
decorative pins gifted to me by a dear friend.

on the reverse side it's rich red velvet, creamy lace and pearls
and more of those lovely decorative pins thanks to Anne x

all adding warmth and a touch of romance 😊
This is the first page in my 2024 mixed media journal.

There's lots more to see from the Creative Artiste Design Team
we look forward to seeing your February Mixed Media makes @

Stay safe & Creative
Hugs
Tracey xx

Wow, what a beautifully crafted project! I love all the layers of lace and coffee stained fabrics with the buttons and flowers, and the way you handstiched the quote after stamping it takes it to a whole other level of amazing ❤️. Both sides of the heart are so pretty too. Wishing you a happy and creative February! Woof to Freya! Hugs, Jo x

Wow Tracey, this takes my breath away. What a gorgeous piece. I love the stitching and the lace and the buttons. . . you also did an amazing job stitching over the stamped words. The heart makes this romantic piece even more romantic. You've outdid yourself, and I'm guessing that means you found some creative time- I hope at least. Have a wonderful start to February, and I hope you have a lovely month ahead too. hugs-Erika

What a wonderful beginning for your journal, Tracey! Slow stitching is so meditative, isn't it? I just love everything in this project, but mostly the heart--both the front and the back are delightful, and to include gifts from a dear friend makes it even more of a treasure. Hope you have a wonderful year and add lovely memories into your journal pages.

Hi Tracey, thank you so much for your visit to me blog, it was lovely to hear from you! Your piece is stunningly beautiful - this must have been a labour of love. I don't know either how you can bear to cover any of it up, but then the layers look so gorgeous I guess you have to lol.
Take care and have a very happy week, (try and grab some time for yourself) Sue xx
