In the dead of the night... we create a scene!!

 Hello Creative friends,

a one pick post from me today as I share a page created
during a sleepless night. Lack of sleep or just sheer
madness have you ever tried to paint on a black page
in the dead of the night..??

Rollered in white gesso I used just three colours
white, black and yellow to pick out shapes left from
those roller marks to create a scene.

Adding paste through a brick stencil and a TH Cathedral substrate,
hidden within the mist distant ravens sit on the power line
between two houses and wiry tree's...

As the pumpkin scarecrow keeps watch over the land I'll leave
you to discover the stranger things within this spooky scene..

Have a great weekend everyone,
Stay safe..!!

Creative wishes
Tracey xx

Oh Tracey I love everything about your piece!! The castle window...the bricks...the fence...the light in a distant window...bats, moon, and a pumpkin scarecrow! I love it! Thanks so much for joining in!!! :) I can imagine being in that field in the dark night...scary spooky stuff!!! By the way, sheer madness is underrated! ;)

This is amazing Tracey! I really really like this. It has a super slightly spooky feel and is perfect for this time of year. It is amazing all the detail and depth you created with just 3 colors, but we don't see colors much at night, do we? And I see lots of lines for Chris' challenge too. Thanks for sharing with us at Art Journal Journey. Much appreciated. Have a super end of your week. We're almost into double digit October. Hugs-Erika

I was BLOWN away, Tracey. This is absolutely incredible. I can't believe you created that scene with just three colors. You did a magnificent job. I was so impressed by how you got the stencils to work with your own artwork. And for once, the scarecrow actually LOOKS like a scarecrow. Simply awesome. Thanks, too, for sharing this beauty with us at Art Journal Journey using Chris's theme.

I just wish i could paint something like this in the middle of the day, never mind in the middle of the night when you couldn't sleep. An amazing, atmospheric piece of art Tracey. I knew you were good but this is fantastic.

Wonderful dark night scene. I love the window with the spider's web, and the depth of the field with the scarecrow.
I'd be running from that spooky scene for sure.

Oh, it's really, really nice. And spooky. I like minimalistic painting. I try to create such paintings sometimes.

Absolutely wonderful - and to think it's only three colours and it's insomniac art too! It's magical, atmospheric and so beautifully done.

I too, am sorry for your sleepless night but this piece must make up for that a dozen times over - it is fantastically spooky and so beautifully accomplished. The wall and window are fabulous and I just adore the pumpkin scarecrow and the lit up house. My favourite part is the beautiful moon and those wonderful bats! Beautiful work, as always.

Stay safe and well. Hugs, Anne xx

Tracey,

Is this Dracula's castle? Bats silhouette against the eerie moonlight, spider webs, and a creepy pumpkin head scarecrow definitely screams HALLOWEEN! Great fun, fabulous artwork. Thanks for sharing your creativity, my dear!

So amazing dear Tracey,- yes a little spooky but also a winters night in the country , as it really is. The old house looking as if falling to pieces, the cozy light in far away houses, the birds flying to the nearest tree , to find a place to sleep , the fence and moon- all telling a story about night in the country . Simply gorgeous, my friend. Sending you hugs and warm wished . xoxoxoxo
