CREATIVE ARTISTE GUEST DESIGNER ~ Anything Goes..

Hello Creative Friends

I'm extremely honoured to be Augusts Guest Designer

Over the moon way back in March when chosen by the
Design Team as their winner I'm here today sharing my
GD mixed media creation and how it came to be...

It all started with a single Studio Light stamp laying
down colour on the image I'd stamped out multiple times..

then building up the background with a mix of media
including beaded pearls, sequins and scraps of lace.

When happy with my colour choice I cut out three images
teasing their shape with a ball tool, my favourite tool
to breakdown paper fibres allowing me to manipulate and
define those fine details found within the stamps design.

When applied to the background you can see why the ball tool
is a favourite just look how much dimension can be achieved
with just one little tool.

Wrapping the sea urchin with silk yarn applying extra embellishments
the seahorse gently rest on top partially camouflaged against the layers.
Bright pops of colour dabbed and dripped around the page
my underwater mixed media creation is complete..
Many thanks to the team for having me as
Guest Designer this month it's been a pleasure.

pop on over for more inspiration and join in with the challenge.

Sending best wishes your way
stay safe & creative everyone

Tracey xx

I knew if I popped in to see you there’d be something marvellous to savour! Great GD piece, man they must have been so pleased when you submitted that! And its in a book! Can’t believe you’re so modest about these creations that you dont immediately start on canvas and put them in an Etsy shop. (More work, but you understand!) Staying safe and well I h ope, I can see you’re staying busy!
