A very late WoywW #555

Hello everyone..

Desk sharing day over @ the Stamping ground thanks to Julia,

Well it's been a pretty poor start to the year for me as i've
been suffering with severe migraine, pain in my left eye and
what the Doctor seems to think is a virus, so under the Docs
advice i've had to limit online time as blogger can be very
mean on the eyes with it bright white glare.

Woyww #554 showed lots of new dies, stamps and stencils purchased during
the Christmas Sales just needing the time and energy to play with them.

So in real time it's a dark start to today's WoywW #555 but my desk is
showing signs of life with journal prep under way. I'm really hoping
my new prescription glasses will help me get some work done today.

especially if this little one decides to have a lazy day..

Thank you to everyone who sent messages and those that came
over to visit my DT duties I just about managed to post.

Look forward to seeing What's on your work desk
this Wednesday and catching up with everyone..

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

Ah Tracey, let’s call it a false start and say you haven’t missed much! so sorry that you’ve been a suffering, I don’t know the pain of migraine and frankly would live in fear if I were a sufferer. I heard on the radio that a virus germ is so small that if it was blown up to the size of a tennis ball, the equivalent human being would be 500 miles TALL. Effective pin head type devils then...I hope you manage to shift it soon, it’s hateful feeling just under well for a sustained period. Will be thinking of you..don’t overdo it.

Tell you what Tracy, Freya looks so comfortable sat there all curled up in the warmth. I could just do with her for a cuddle right now. Why don't you have one - all day long.
Sorry to hear about the eye problem, migraines can be really awful and knock you off completely. I remember hurting my eye, scratching it actually, and after that I got 'dry eye syndrome' and had to use drops. I was told that when you use the computer you don't actually blink, so don't lubricate your eyes. I had to turn away from the computer every 15 minutes and blink several times. Just a thought that it might help you when doing anything on the computer or artwork even, one never knows.
Wishing you lots of "getting better".
Hugs, Neet xx 11

Hi Tracey, I do hope you are starting to feel better, I don't suffer from migraines, but Doug does, and I know how ill they make him, so I do sympathise. Regarding how bright Blogger is, do you know you can turn down the brightness on your screen? Doug was doing it when he was studying online a lot, as he was getting eyestrain & headaches from it. If you don't, go to SETTINGS-SYSTEM-DISPLAY, and you can adjust the brightness down as low as you want. Hope thats helpful, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X

So many lovely goodies to get stuck into! I do hope you feel better soon and find the energy to have a play with them. Your little pup looks adorable there, I bet she's such a distraction from doing other things!
Hope you have a good week,

Dear friend, so good to see you here again,- only wish your migraine will agree to soon disappear , so you can live again. It is too much to deal with, -I know of the pain in left eye, as I also have that, -coming an going- but always thought it was because I tighten the face and eye muscles , and it help me to defuse .
Looking very interesting on your table Tracey, so many goodies , and your new sweet Freya I`m sure she takes a lot of cuddling time. :-) xoxo and warm hugs.

Thank you for your visit. I have been using a warm cloth on my eyes since December, can't shake the problem with both eyes. And started taking an eye vitamin and I think it's been helping I also wear sunglasses sometimes when reading on the computer. Light really bothers me. Good Luck.Have fun with your new stash. I love the big eye lashes on that clear stamp on your stamp block. Enjoy

Great collection of new goodies. Sorry I've not been around but you know I've got a good excuse as I've been away but I'm back now. I feel so sorry for you having migraine, I have it occasionally and it's awful and I don't need to go into details. Lets hope the new specs help. I use Migraleve pink which helps to prevent the migraine developing if caught soon enough but I'm sure your doctor will have prescribed something to help. Hope you have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x16x

I'm late visiting today but have been head down sewing all day and have now finished the next 5 Memory characters apart from their labels so have decided to call it a day now and will do them fresh in the morning.
Sorry to hear you've been suffering too. Lets hope we are both feeling much better by next week. You asked if I had any Memory charachers of my own....yes lots cos I test out every newly designed pattern/idea and like to keep a selection here so I can show customers what they look like in real life.
Hugs,

Oh Tracey, I'm so sorry... I know exactly how you must be feeling - not just with the awful headaches, but the frustration of not being able to do what you want. I hope they get on top of this for you with some decent treatment, and that you will soon feel up to crafting again. I love all your new stash! So many fun things to play with.

Happy WOYWW and get well soon,

Sorry, Tracey - so taken up with your blog post that I forgot to thank you for visiting mine! - I am so glad you like my shutter cards. I agree with you that I hope people appreciate the work that we put into cards. This is one reason why I tend to shy away from card making. Put a fold on a piece of art work so it stands up on the mantlepiece, and it immediately becomes ephemera and food for the waste bin... I think those who know us well, appreciate how much time and effort we put into them, though, and these are the people we want to send our cards to, aren't they!

I'm with you on the sentiment stamps front. You never find the exact one you want, which is why this year I think I am going to practise my calligraphy a bit more, and do my own. I've found some brilliant YouTube vids on the subject. I'm glad you like my little alphabet pieces too. When I first drew them, I thought how nice it would be to use them as card toppers for people's initials. All you need is a bit of matting and layering onto a pretty background and it's a pretty quick card to make. The painting takes longer, but very relaxing to do in front of the TV.

The lady on the cutting machines forum has come up trumps again and again this week - she is so helpful and today tells me she is recovering from flu, so double kudos to her on that score! She is so knowledgeable and is helping me such a lot - a real blessing. I think I will gain in confidence the more cutting I do now. The machine has been idle for far too long!

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Tracey, Migraines are horrible. I'm surprised you are getting anything done, good for you! Love all your new toys, hope you get a chance to play soon! I'm not surprised you saw the lantern in my angel die, but I've only had simple dies, straight forward dies, I've never had a die that was intended to make something like a lantern, so it never even occurred to me! I knew it was something different...hope you feel better soon, thanks for your visit! Lindart #27

The Christmas bug that I had has left me with a fuzzy head too. Someone said it can take 6 weeks to get over a virus! Hope you are soon better. Freya looks so cosy there! xx Jo

Oh Tracey, I am so very sorry that you have been poorly, migraines are horrible and with a virus on top, I really do feel for you. I do hope the glasses help and the virus clears off soon.

It looks like you got a good haul in the sales and I hope you get to have a play with them all soon. When David had the virus over the Christmas period, he tried to do too much too soon so please give yourself time (I know you have a lot of responsibilities though) to heal.

Freya looks adorable on her comfy bed, I hope she is good company for you at the moment. We are all fine here, just unusually busy for me! Take care my friend, thinking about you. Hugs, Anne xxx

Oh Tracie... so sorry for the headaches. I have an eye appointment next month and am so ready. I know I need a new prescription. I'm having to wear my cheaters more and if I work without them, I wind up with headaches. You're right.. not good for bloggers.. or in my case also a writer. Hugs and Creative Blessings! Kelly #26

ooh sorry to hear your under the weather, my hubby gets migranes and cluster headaches so I can sort of understand some of the pain, as shaz mentioned the screen brightness turned down can help I also know you can get coloured film that can be placed over the screen, I have a privacy one (which you need to be sat directly in front of to see the screen) and that takes some of the glare off and I know there are various ones to help with dyslexia etc.

I will be adding you to my list of WOYWW "enablers" too!!! Those dies and especially that stencil...ooh (I blame Shaz and Helen for usually "enabling" me to the shop!!)

Hope you start to feel better soon
