What's on your workdesk Wednesday ~ 516

Hello Creative Friends,

Hope you all had a great Easter?

Here in the UK we were blessed with sunshine what a glorious
few days we've had, the past week has flown by and again it's
Wednesday & time to share what's on our workdesks
over at the stamping ground thanks to Julia it's

Having given myself the week off there's nothing creative to
share but here's my latest Scrawlr box that arrived yesterday.
Glad to say I have not got those pastel Ecoline's...

The larger canvas I was painting last week was the bathroom 😁
Did a little tiling too... or should I say recovering of tiles.
Those stickers do a grand job of cheering up the place.

...and finally making sure there's something for our feathered friends
after the wood pigeons and magpies have had their fill of the feed.
I've been placing new feeders around the garden,
they appear to love this little hidey-hole.

Sorry to those I missed last week..
I'll be sure to visit this week.
I'm sure there's lots to catch up on.

Take care everyone & stay safe..
Hugs Tracey xx

Love the tiles Tracey, so much cheaper than re-tiling too. The Ecolines are fabulous, especially picked up off a glass mat with a water brush. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

The tiles look good after their make-over, clever you for thinking of that uplift for them.
Good to have a bit of time spent on the house - and I just love the little corner for your feathered friends. We put some extra struts on the bird table to stop the pigeons getting on (squirrels too mainly - but they chew them away and so they have to be replenished some and often). Luckily the magpies don't seem to bother about seed but they do enjoy the drinking water.
We also have fat balls hanging and recently bought one with bigger holes in the container so that the blackbirds could get to them. The other day I watched Mr B pecking away at the fat balls from the magnolia bush and Mrs B stood underneath picking up the bits that dropped. So very clever! Love my blackbirds.
Hugs, Neet 18 xx

The tile stickers are lovely. I thought they were real tiles, a friend has some similar.
The flipping wood pigeons and magpies are a nuisance in our garden, the little birds don’t get a look in. I keep moving the feeders to hanging places the big birds can’t get a grip on

Great tiles. Also loved the photo of the feeder. I find birds love feeders and baths next to a safe place where they can flee to if danger approaches. I have shrubs next to my feeders and they are always roosting in them too. Right before day break these shrubs come alive with little birds just singing their hearts out. That has to make you smile! Ooh Tracey, you’ve been very busy. I will write you a note 📝 when you need time to be creative at your desk! The scriblr box is intriguing, what a lovely treat. Brilliant tiling job missus, and love your choice of patterns!

Wow, those stickers look fantastic - what a great idea. I hope you have lots of fun with your new Ecoline pens, the pastel colours sound intriguing. Your garden looks beautifully secluded and perfect for little birds to feel safe when they feed - the Spanish Bluebells are so pretty at this time of year, my garden is over run with them but at the moment I don't mind as the effect is so lovely. It will be a different tune when I'm trying to clear all their foliage in a few weeks time!
Have a great week,

The Ecoline brush pens look lovely and I've just ordered a pack of those Uni pens for my mum, who's just discovered Zentangling. The Scrawlr box looks like a lovely treat. I'm afraid to put out bird feeders in case the cat gets the birdies - we wanted a bird bath but then realised it would be like offering the birds on a platter to Oreo LOL! We had an amazing 4-day weekend, didn't we? It's all back to showers now but the gardens do need the rain! Happy #516! zsuzsa #24

Thanks for your visit, Tracey. So glad you like my little flowers. I'm really sorry to hear how much your poor daughter is suffering with her teeth. I'm sure she'd be better with them out. I'm amazed how quickly mine seems to be settling down already - I forgot to take my lunch-time pain relief and just realised mid-p.m. that I didn't actually need it! I'm doing the salt water mouthwashes and eating soft food and I am sure things will be fine by the end of the week. I'm being very good and not letting my tongue wander into the area - I was warned about not disturbing the clot, which can cause major problems. As for our downstairs loo, we've got one but it's horrible and there's no hand basin so you have to wash at the utility room sink. We are having one with a sink built into the top of the cistern which is really cool, and also saves water! I'm hoping to have the room decorated in some sort of wacky fashion after the work is done, which would be fun, I think.

Wow, those stickers for the tiles are amazing! Those sort of patterns are so in at the moment but the original tiles cost an arm and a leg, so well done you. I like the way you've hidden those feeders, it gives the smaller birds and chance, the hacksaws and magpies are thugs!

Your tiles are very cool! Love the variety of patterns! Never heard of a Scrawlr box. Looks interesting. And your birds should be very happy! We have hummingbirds, woodpeckers, cactus wrens, quail, cardinals, orioles, and who knows what! We feed them all.
Thanks for popping by and have a great day!

Hi Tracey, Nice new stuff.

Love your shepherds hook feeding station. I had one, but only the Jackdaws came to it. I don't have a garden, so it was just outside in the communal area.

Love the tile stickers. I've been trying to find some in a green/yellow colour for my kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

Oooh, I love the small collection of Ecoline pens that I have, the colours are so rich, I am sure you will enjoy using the pastels. You did a great job on the tiles, the stickers are beautiful.

It is such a joy to see the birds come into the garden each day, you have created a lovely little hidey-hole for your feathered visitors. Hugs, Anne xx

Hi Tracey. I'm with you, Wednesday seems to come round very quickly. Late today as I've been out most of the day with friends so just doing a few late visits. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy belated WOYWW, Angela x21x

I, too, have a few of those brush pens but don't use them much... have fun with it! I often thought about 'tiling' with stickers too, in the kitchen for example... never got to it though and always in doubt if they would stick nicely and hold up over time... what's your experience with it, did they stick smoothly/easily? Hope your week is lovely dear Tracey, thanks for stopping by yesterday. Happy ~belated~ woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #3

Ooh, I love those tiles. I say the same thing about weeks flying by, but Fridays stick out to me for some reason. It seems like it's always Friday. lol

My dear Tracey , your bathroom update looks wonderful, I love the colors there, and the Scrawlr box ( I need to find out, what it is :-) ) looks to hold many wonderful materials for you , to play with when time allows . Your garden looks old and so cosy , no wonder the birdies love their new feeder there in the corner. We also have had a lovely Easter weather , sunny and warm- so beautiful. I`m still waiting for results, I can`t believe it Tracey , and makes my days so worryfull . I`m sorry for my absence dear friend.
Sending you the warmest hugs and thoughts , I hope the pain of loosing your 4 legged friend , have become more bearable dear friend. xoxoxoxo

Thanks for your visit earlier - lovely surprise!
I would think that tiling (recovering) is a craft in itself as you have to choose the design and then place them just so .....
Love the hidey hole for the feeders, I must have spent half an hour filling all my feeders before I went away, and am pleased to report they have not been totally emptied!!
Have a good weekend

Good morning, Tracy. Thanks for the stop-by! Love those tile stickers! I've never heard of those. Hmmmm Yes, birds love those little hidy holes so they can fly off to protection should their feeding be interupted. My hummingbirds have arrived for the summer. Creative Blessings! Kelly #30

If you wipe them down from any moisture they really do last for years. I previously had some in my bathroom for over 5 years. The colour may fade if exposed to high heat over time but just peel it off remove the sticky stuff from the tile then replace again. I actually like the worn look, they make them look more expensive :))

Hello Tracy!, Popping in to see what you have been up to and my oh my ! It looks as though you have been a busy gal! Love your tiling- so talented and I too love feeding the feathered friends! The last bunch of our regulars just returned on the warm wind;the Carolina Wren,Baltimore Orioles(there were 4 male out there last eve!) the Rose Breasted Grosbeak(my fav!) and the hummingbirds! We love to sit and watch them and listen to their beautiful songs! Hope all is well with you! xoxo
