ATCoins and storage

Hello Creative Friends..

Not being a big social media user I appear to have missed the
boat regarding ATCoins. This display unit I received last October
from That's Crafty! Sadly it remained untouched until recently as the
very day it arrived my Husband was taken ill and suffered a heart attack.

Now on the road to recovery I thought I better make a start and see what all
the fuss was about, i'd hate it to go out of fashion before i'd even started.

Here's what I came up with along with some *How to do's*

Simply slotting the coin ledges into the base, securing with glue I painted
in gesso, added texture paste for detail and coated with crackle glaze.

Aiming for an industrial look where old paint pops and peels I painted over
the crackle glaze with a light coloured paint, touching up those sandy
areas with a colour mix whilst watching that crackle appear.

Preparing the ATCoins in the same way as the display I used That's Crafty stamps
and stencils to create a Botanical theme. Some I painted quite crudely where as
others were given extra detail. The crackle background gives that vintage feel.

Slots within the ledges hold those ATCoins
nice and tight... not a sign of a roll.

Don't they look lovely when displayed together...?

I was so impressed with this I ordered one for myself!
This one is currently on it's way to That's Crafty HQ!

I'm altering one for me now to display some of my little projects..

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and
Thank you as always for stopping by.

Take good care everyone & Stay safe.
Creative Hugs

Tracey xx

Wow, this is stunning! I'm so glad that you got to play and show us the end result - beautiful 😁. I love how you coloured and distressed everything with the crackle glaze and the vintage flower theme is so pretty! I hope the weather has been ok where you are; it's been cold and frosty here but we missed the snow. Yesterday was sunny so we had a lovely walk, we made sure we were wrapped up warm though ...lol πŸ˜‰. I hope that your hubby is doing ok, my dad will be doing his rehab in the next month or so. Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊 x

Lovely stamps and details - such beautiful pieces and display Tracey - I can imagine making the coins might be very addictive :)
I've not succumbed to these ATC coins yet as having been going through my stamp collection of over 20 years I'm trying to reduce at present and not add to it - it's sooo difficult! :D
So very pleased to hear that your hubby is recovering well.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.... Gill xx

Hi Tracey - wonderful work! I called by to say a huge thank you for your very kind comment - do please come and play with us. It doesn't need to be a card by the way - so long as you use at least one scrap/snippet in the making then it qualifies.

Such lovely floral ATCoins. I've been seeing them around for a while, and got myself some to play with ages ago, but haven't managed to do anything with them yet! I may just have to invest in a stand when I do though, they look amazing all out on display. Glad to hear your husband's doing well.
