WOYWW 479

Happy WOYWW #479 everyone..

Time to share and stare at whats on everyone's workspace
courtesy of Julia our host over at the stamping ground.

I've had one of those weeks where nothing has gone to plan
and everything I seem to touch has broken.

*Toilet stopped Flushing*
*Radiator randomly turns itself on.. Glory be in this HEAT!!*
*Kitchen Cupboard door fell off it's hinges*
*Kitchen draw fell apart*
*Dropped a whole pot of fibre paste.. not a pretty site*
There's more but I won't bore or depress you..

So this picture was taken last night where I escaped into the garden to have a
moment of me time prepping some journal pages and cleaning paint brushes.
Enjoying the cool evening air...

I'm so lucky to have received this wonderful bundle from my dear friend
Dorthe last week and delighted to be able to share it with you all.

Agnes is a Beach Angel handmade by Dorthe, with her pretty cotton lace petticoat
made from a napkin from the USA she carries discovered driftwood from the coastline.

Watch parts from a watch maker tied up with a driftwood peg and a beautiful stitched tag.
The paper wrap contains a skeleton leaf which I was too scared to unwrap and show you
just incase it blew away with the strong winds of last night.

Look at her sweet hand painted face, isn't she just adorable.
She warms my heart and brings a smile every time I look at her.

Thank you for allowing me to share this delightful bundle Dear Dorthe
and hugs for these sent treasures...xx

and finally here is a couple of photographs captured over the weekend.

I was unsure if the Bee's were making use of these Beer bottle caps full of sugar water
as the ones at the bottom of the garden seem to be full of ants each morning
when I go to refill them..

...but obviously this little Bee has stopped off for evening Tea
after a busy day bumbling around in the heat all day.

Feel like I could do with an energy drink myself after the last week.

I'll be around to visit asap as i'm at home today, still boxing and labelling
whilst waiting for the repair man to arrive.

Look forward to seeing what you've all been up to.
Hugs & Creative Wishes
Tracey xx

such a cute doll, how gorgeous is she! I applaud you with the sugar water but I did read somewhere you shouldn't leave it out for bees as it puts them off the scent of the flowers they really need, or gets them out of the habit of looking for flowers or something....Hope your week is a little less - er.... !! Morning Helen, isn't she so lovely..
I've read that about the sugar water too but I always leave mine in the same place near my lavender bushes in the front garden so they have not far to travel and the ones in the back garden are very near to their hive under the playhouse so it helps them find their way home.. x

What a week you have had, so many things going wrong (or falling apart) thank goodness for your friend sending you the lovely parcel - must have made up for all the mishaps.
Agnes is beautiful, what a lovely friend you have over the water. Such beautiful things that came with her two - you are truly loved by your friend.
Our garden is over run with ants! Not keen on the little blighters as I am allergic to their bite - and boy do they like me and bite me! We have a patch of clover keeps popping up in the lawn and the bees are loving the flowers so I don't think I will bother with the bottle caps - but only because of the ants!
Hopefully have a better week ahead
hugs, Neet 1 xx

Some people are just SO talented and Dorthy is one of them - I'm full of admiration for anyone who makes dolls like that, the attention to detail is just amazing and something that simply is not in me! I love her dress and all the little bits and pieces she's holding. Thanks for sharing!
Oh and I hope you have an accident free week :-D

I love this beautiful doll and all the lovely and amazing gifts from Dorthe!- Just everyday's little catasthrophes - don't worry too much about that. It's always that such things seem to come all together but nothing of this sounds really life threatening Tracey ! You are a happy and blessed talented artist and nothing can stop you from being a wonderful soul! Happy WOYWW for you my
friend! You are good to bees and ants - that's a fab idea with the sugar water in the bottle caps!

Oh my dear Tracey, what an awful week, filled with disasters - I`m so sorry for you, and all the things it brought, of doing and cleaning .
Your idea with the capsules filled with sugar water for bees, is so kind and wonderful, even the ants are visiting them too. :-)
Dear friend- I`m so happy you still love Agnes, and the bits and pieces- you know I treasure the necklace and beautiful pouch you made me.
Thank you for showing so lovely Tracey, and for your loving words. You are a dear friend. Big hugs

Well Tracey you have certainly had your fair share of calamities this week, I am sure all will come good again, I am a big believer that good comes to good, and you are such a positive person to so many. Crikey tracey, looks like your friend dorthe made this beautiful doll with love, so by giving it to you she is giving a piece of her heart, what a fabulous, kind and generous friend to have... I'm sure it's a two way thing tho!! I really enjoy seeing what is on your worktop, even your water jars look woohoo arty!!. Hope all picks up for you. Bigggg huggggs. Xxxx

Lots of smiles from me to you Tracey. I shall tell my mother when I phone her, the list of stuff that has happened to you this week as she thinks she is the only one that this happens to Lol! It always seems to me that things seem to go like this, everything is running smoothly and then suddenly something happens and off it goes. Last week it was the phone that stopped working, just after being fixed the electric went off and the care alarm and chair lift alarm both set off and then her electric chair managed to trap it's wires in the upright position and dad in his effort to get them out managed to detach everything! (they are both in their 90s so doing well really). Thank goodness it's all fixed now but it is only Wednesday Lol!Fingers crossed! Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x12x

Oh dear Tracey what a week. Hope things are going better for you now. It seems to go like that at times doesn't it.
Agnes is adorable - how clever of Dorthe. Hope rest of your week goes well.
PS I think I need to take better photos - it's not a cubby hole lol - a little balcony :-) Anne x #4

Oh my, your Beach Angel is truly adorable, her face really is angelic! Dorthe is such a wonderful artist and how lovely to receive such a beautiful gift from her. I have not seen or heard of skeleton leaves for years now, I hope they are making a return to popularity!

Your bottle cap idea is such a clever idea (I guess ants have to eat too) and how lovely to see one being used by a bee. Our garden is full of plants to attract both bees and butterflies and it is so sad to see a sharp decline in both this year. I was so thrilled yesterday to see a pair of Comma butterflies though... Oh dear tracey! I am sorry for the week from "H#%*" eewwee that fiber paste must have been yucky!!

Well, glad to hear you escaped to the garden for awhile to relax and set your mind straight again- sending thoughts of calming and low maintenance your way across the universe!

Lovely doll from Dorthe- she is the sweetest woman! Thank you so much for sharing your treasure and your stories...not boring or depressing..just life- right?
lots of love,Jackie

Your gift is so wonderful, I'm sure it makes up for all the nonsense of the week. You can look at her when you are feeling down and she will perk you right up! Good for you for feeding the bees! I hope you have a worry free week! Lindart #25

Hate to think that you’ve had a tough week, I hope the next is an improvement, will be thinking and wishing it for you. Love the bottle caps for the bees...genius idea. I’ve got a nasty plastic thing up by the roses and a little stone with a hole in it by the lavender, it seems to work but doesnt look like an art installation like yours! Beach Angel is just gorgeous, what a lift she must have been for you. My word, the work in her is wonderful, her little face is just lovely. Dorthe is a v clever gal!

Sounds as if you've had a week, for sure, Tracey. Thank you for stopping by my cottage and saying hello in all the chaos. Pretty doll. she'd be right at home in my studio. Creative Blessings! Kelly #18

That's some list of catastrophes - wouldn't want to be you right now, Tracey :) The doll is the sweetest thing - how beautifully made it is. There seems to be such contradictory advice regarding sugar water and bees - I read recently not to do it but I always have when I've seen a bee that's clearly tired out and I think I will continue doing it for them. I'd hate just one bee to die for the want of a bit of sugary water. I'm late but that's nothing new for me. Elizabeth x #26

That's a gorgeous doll, Tracey, and so nice that it's made from recycled stuff. Poor you - what a disastrous week you've had! I'm sure things will start to go right now, though. A couple of years ago we had a period like that where everything broke down and I wondered what on earth was going on!! Thank you for your visit. I agree with you, I adore home-made soup! I'm having a restful week after being so busy. The freezer is now pretty full!

Happy belated WOYWW,
