Hello everyone
Yay for the weekend...
I'm late sharing this but better late than never.
Last weekend I had some spare crafty time but spent most of
it discovering unfinished projects, I found some lovely things.
This junk journal spread was Inspired by a Lifebook 2021 tutorial
by Laly Mille called hiding places started way back in early July.
The little envelope holds a book full of old music and book pages
over stamped decorated with lace scraps, washi and postage stamps.
I never tire of using this stamp, my favourite of the
moment it always leaves an impressive mark. Stamped
onto an embellished postcard with a washi tape hinge.
When opened it reveals a stamped flower image, sentiment
and a tag pocket to hide little secrets and precious things..
I could spend every crafty day creating junk journal pages like these...
Happy weekend everyone
Stay safe & Creative
Hugs Tracey xx

Hi Tracey, just saw this as I was about to shut down for the evening. It's really gorgeous, such a beautiful vintage style, and love all the hidden bits, such fun to work through the layers. Thanks for joining us at TIOT and at AJJ. Have a great weekended, take care! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you Valerie, only just got home but the weekend is mine YAY!! Have a good one take care now x

Wow, you have beautiful junk here! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a real work of love Tracey and if you are like me returning to unfinished projects often takes us in a different direction to the original plan.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the soft muted earthy colours and all the little elements of interest which keep taking the eye to look at something new.
Lovely to see you at Stamping Sensations this month, thanks so much for joining in.

Absolutely stunning Tracey! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about this journal... the pages, the stamping, the colours, just everything! (And I am trying Lifebook 2022 taster.. love Laly Mille's art!). Thanks for sharing at try it on Tuesday! ((HUGS)) Helen
ReplyDeleteIt's a must try taster course Helen, there will be something for everyone x
ReplyDeleteTracey, these are beautiful pages in your journal. How fun there are hidden pockets and journals and fun things to discover. Wow. So wonderfully done. Love it! Hugz
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous spread Tracy, and I love the idea of hiding things in your work. I think the idea of hiding your words behind the butterfly is a good one. Ideas and thoughts do tend to flutter away like butterflies do. I can see why you love that stamp. And what a great collection of papers layered in that pocket. Thanks for sharing these with us at AJJ. Better late than not making it, and you really aren't late anyhow. That's the beauty of art right. It comes at its own time. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this taster course. I love Laly Mille's art. She is such a great teacher, I wish I could afford to take one of her classes, but I don't draw, so I'd just be wasting my money.
ReplyDeleteI am most impressed with the hidden pockets. I am fond of interactive pages, so getting the reader involved always makes me happy. It's a heartwarming and charming spread Tracey. It certainly gives off that Vintage vibe. Thanks so much for sharing it with us using Wendy's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear.
Great pages in your junk journal.
ReplyDeleteTracy ~ these are divine collage creations ~ so elegant! Wow!

ReplyDeleteA fantastic page Tracey, I just love the amount of things you have managed to include. I love the hidden ideas and also love Laly Mille's work. I am doing one of her journal courses at the moment. My desk is lurking under piles of scrap paper and bit and bobs. Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous page with us on AJJ for my vintage theme.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Tracy, the journal looks so interesting and the piece you shared at Try it on Tuesday is lovely and has such a shabby vintage look and a lovely surprise when flipped open.

ReplyDeleteOh Tracey, what a delight to find this beautiful treasure, it is absolutely gorgeous. I really love all the wonderful texture on the front of the journal and I am seriously impressed by the inside. I wish I could do junk journals but alas, I never get them right, sigh - I could really do with a few lessons. I just adore Laly Mille's work and can see how you were inspired by it. A beautiful vintage looking junk Journal - you are such an inspiration my friend! Hugs, Anne xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is just a magical piece of art.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we just have to walk away from something to realize how amazing it will be! Our fresh eyes and desire not to see it wasted breathe new life into our old works. This is a perfect example of such! I am in awe of the tucks and flaps and beautiful vintage vibe! Amazing my friend! Hugs, Autumn
