Happy New Year from all at Paperbabe Stamps and
welcome to a brand (New) blog challenge... Fresh Start.
A New Year can bring many changes from resolutions, new home, job,
journal or a new craft, so let those changes guide you to create anything
inspired by the theme #90 (New) Fresh Start.
Here's my interpretation and a handful of how to do's for my Folio of Faces.
Using a TH Folio Folder as my foundation I used the standard Paperbabe Doll Face
set stamping first onto an old book page then adhered to the folio adding leftover book
paper, lace and rice paper strips. Water soluble crayons begin the painting process.
Heavy Gel Medium is pushed through the Roses Stencil
when dry the painting process begins again using watercolour brush pens.
I love watching how the markers react when water is applied.
Her Hair flows across the back cover along with stencilled Roses.
Exaggerated features brings out that Vintage Doll stare,
with fragments and threads embellishing her hair.
A Fibreboard whimsical word leaves a creative prompt
completing the cover of my Folio of Faces.
This folder houses faces of all shapes and sizes awaiting new adventures!
...but I'm saving what's within for another day... Hee hee!!
You have the whole of JANUARY to play along.
HAVE FUN if your joining in with the challenge or just pop on over
and see what the Design Team have created to inspire you HERE..
I look forward to seeing all that you create.
Take good care everyone & Stay Safe
Creative wishes
Tracey xx

ReplyDeleteHow fun to see your beautiful girl's face come to life! This in one AMAZING project and how wonderful it's useful, too! Those roses are incredible! I would love to learn what watercolor markers you've used. My daughter had these on her Christmas wish list, and I was hard pressed to find any. Wonderful project, Tracy, and I'm excited you shared it with us at A Vintage Journey, too! Happy New Year hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara, the watercolour pens I used are a combination of Tombows and Royal Talens Ecoline, I find the brush nibs can cope with both large areas and fine detail work plus they are both very juicy :)) Kuretake Zig Clean Color are also very good for smaller areas and extra fine detail. Hope you can source some out for your Daughter xx
