Paperbabe Challenge #74 Doodles

It's Friday Yay...
and an extended weekend awaits with another
UK Bank Holiday.

It's time for another Paperbabe Challenge with this fortnight being doodle themed
so for those of you that like to doodle, draw or just make marks
this challenge may be just for you.

Here's my take on #74 Doodles Paperbabe Challenge along with those How to Do's..

Onto a postcard sized piece of water colour card I traced around the mini head
and torso templates along with the short hair and fringe, marked out the
facial features using the guides given on the head template and
used the mini female face stamps to stamp those features in place.

Neocolors II have been used to lay down those base colours.

Onto deli roll used to mop up inks I doodled
using a nib (dip) pen and acrylic inks.

With the image glued into my postcard album created just for this size paperbabe.
I tore strips of those inked doodles and glued them to the top and bottom
of the image to create a decorative edge.

Blending any white area still showing with those neocolors I then added a little more
pastel colour blending with my finger to give that softer dreamy effect .

My Doodled edge Paperbabe Postcard is complete.

If you'd like to share your doodles with us please pop on over HERE
and join in with the Paperbabe #74 Doodles Challenge.

We'd love to see you there..
Wishing you a wonderful weekend
what ever you are up to.

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

The girl painting itself is so beautiful coloured and your doodles to the card are fantastic - the black and white of the doodles brings the wonderful colours of her face to perfection!
I wish you happy start into the weekend!

Another gorgeous babe , dear Tracy- looking so beautiful, and very modern girl- with the hair cut you gave her, and her green cardigan . I love your doodling on the deli paper , and how you tore them to be added to the card. It looks gorgeous, dear !!
I read about your scare over at Astrids, blog- you can see mine over there, too, lol- I also don`t know what to do Tracey- and also don`t know how to do it :-( Some say the message appearing on the blog, is enough ?????
Wish you a lovely weekend, dear friend- Big hugs , Dorthe xxxxxxxxx

Ahhh paperbabe girls are just the cutest things and you certainly know how to bring them to life. I loved doing the paperbabe faces, but then got obsessed with my gelli plate, but when I see your work you inspire me to go back to Kim's faces. I adore your colouring techniques Tracey. Xxxxxx

Thank you all so much you are all so supportive and it means so much to me. Sorry if my replies are delayed with the new GDPR changes it's taking a little longer to find you all but I will be round to visit asap.
Biggest of HUGS & Thank yous Tracey xx

My friend Alice noticed that the box where you comment has changed at the bottom where you "choose an identity." Instead of choices now, there is just one and under that it says "Email follow-up comments to ... (your name)." So when you do a post, immediately leave yourself a comment and check the box and then every comment you get will appear in your gmail inbox! Thank you so much Alice!

I also noticed that after you leave a comment, the top of the comment box changes where it says "your comment has been saved." You'll notice that it now also has the word "unsubscribe" which was never there before.

Now why couldn't Blogger have sent us an email explaining these changes?

I noticed that the setting had changed earlier Annie and have just seen your notification come up in gmail yayyy.. I have just noticed that there was an unticked option in gmail settings *Default Replay behaviour* I suppose to comply with GDPR it's best to tick reply and not reply to all.. Just about to test it out and see what happens.

Another fabulous PB creation Tracey, you totally rock their products! Love your face, so expressive and the doodles you added are just brilliant!

Now I just noticed Aussie Nellie's comment above, and I am sorry I don't understand a word of what she is saying, nor your reply.... is this another thing we have to sort out now?? :o( I am such a dinosaur where things like this are concerned....

I'm only THREE days late visiting. Still playing catch up here. First, I simply adore that journal cover. Seems that kit has a little of everything.

Second, I adore your postcard girl. She is a beauty, and seems to be a bit shy. I really like her.

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you so much Astrid, I do love creating these faces.

Annie's comment is relating to not getting any email notifications when comments have been left. When you now go to leave a comment there are different options to choose. *Note* they can be easily over looked so check before you press publish'post.
Mine is related to an action found in my gmail settings, one that was unticked and looked like it may have been a new addition. It may be irrelevant but I do not want to start spaming people!!

Astrid my knowledge of technology is Archaic if that is even possible so when things change it sends me into a panic. When I get to hear more about what needs to be done for personal blogging etc I will add what's needed if any.
It's very unfair to leave us all in limbo like this but important for the safety of us all. Since Friday my main email seems to have gone on holiday hee hee!! xx

There is never any need to rush here Elizabeth, you are welcome to visit when ever you wish. Glad you like both Journal Cover and my postcard girl Thank you. Have a lovely Sunday xx

Hi Tracey, gorgeous postcards. Just noticed the discussion re emails. I need to have a look at this to see what's going on as I realised that your comment on my blog and others were not showing on my emails which they normally do. Someone out there sure like to confuse everything. Hope you're having a lovely Bank Holiday. Sending big hugs, Angela xxx

Thanks so much Valerie, it's been mostly wet and stormy over the weekend but today has been a dry day. Fingers crossed for another dry one tomorrow x

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Happy you like her Susi, my plan was to doodle in white straight into the album but guess who's white pen had decided to stop working..!! Not to worry the deli paper did the job in the end :))

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you Sue, I find these creations so relaxing. Just wish I had a bit more time to do more. Hope you have had a storm free BH weekend unlike me :))

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you Jannet, the sun has shown it's face a little today after a very turbulent weekend xx

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you so much Anne, i've always loved drawing faces since a young girl. The templates take all the think work out of where features need to be allowing me to get on with the fun bit and colour it all in xx

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thanks so much Annie xx

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you very much Jo, I try and show people how it transforms as it can be so easy to give up on things in the beginning. Hope you've had a great weekend xx

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you dear Dorthe, I never think to do short hair maybe it's because I have nit had short hair since I was a small girl. I agree she's very modern with her short hair but not quiet the Pixie look of 2018.
Hope you have managed to sort out any issues you had with your blog or even found the way to receive notifications?? Keeping my fingers crossed.
Big Hugs Tracey xx

Jane you make me smile so much with your warmth for Kim's faces, it's how our blogging friendship came to be all those months ago. You work wonders with them and I hope you can find time to play with them soon, maybe combine them with the Gelli Plate.. now that's a Happy Medium..!! xx

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Thank you Angela.. Hope you can sort out your notifications, it's a pain in the butt for those that chose to blog in this way but least the info above is a quick fix for now anyway.
Hope you had a great weekend, catch up with you later in the week xx
